October assessment learner response

WWW: A superb first assesment that is already at an impressively high grad. Excellent knowledge of  media terminoligy shown.

EBI: To push into 7-9 grades you need a bit more depth/detail on the high mark questions. For example  you couldve written an additional pg for Q9 and offered examples of charity adverts using children.

Q1: 1/1

Q2: 1/1

Q3: 2/2

Q4: 2/2

Q5: 2/2

Q6: 3/3

Q7: 2/2

Q8: 2/4 I think i missed out marks in this Q because i didnt write everything i could.

Q9: 4/8 I think i missed out marks because i didnt write enough and i didnt write in a lot of detail

3) NO

4) I  have multiple strong questions but my strongest is Q6 because it was 3 marks and I got everything I could get right

5) One of my weaker questions waqs obviously question 9 due to lack of detil and quantity

6) What i wrote: I think charities use pictures of children bacuse the consumers see children as weak and small which has connotations of them needing help because they're vulnerable. The producers think its a great idea because most parents hate to seee their children suffering so when they see the ads they'd want to help out. This also tells us that the target audience for the Ads could be families and most importantly parents. So if a parent sees a child suffering they would put their child in the adverts childs shoes and would'nt like it so they would want to help.

My new para: Children are linked to innocence and vulnerability and its why people will donate children make people feel guilty and make poeple want to protect them such as parents. The image is quickly recognisable to the target audience because its associated with a particular place in the world and an issue (lack of clean, drinking water.) A stereotypical image of a child in need is used in the hope that thetarget audience will recognise this stereotype and the image will compel them to give money and donate to the cause.
