End of year 1 Exam: LR

 1) Type up your feedback in full (you do not need to write mark/grade if you do not wish to).

WWW: This is a strong exam with clear potential to go higher. Considering you weren't sure                on the question, your answer to Q2 is very good!

EBI: Revise narrative theory: this is holding you back in 1.2.

        In 1.2 and 1.3 you must stay focused on the extract. Make detailed reference to the clip          to reach the top levels.

                            Total= 23             Grade= 6

2) Question 1.1 asked you what intertextuality is. Write out the definition of intertextuality - you may need to look it up in your glossary or Media book if you're not sure.

When a media extract references another media extract.

3) Look at your answers for 1.2 and 1.3. Did you ONLY write about the clip shown in the exam? How can you improve your answers in these questions?

By answering the question without drifting off and writing only about the extract clip NOT the episode.

4) Look at your answer for question 2 - the 20-mark essay. Did you write about BOTH Doctor Who and Class and give examples from both CSP episodes we have studied? How could you improve your answer here?

I wrote about both extracts but i should of added more detail.

5) Are you happy with your End of Year 1 exam result?

Yes very.

6) What will you do differently for the next set of mock exams in November/December?

Revise more about the theories.

7) Write THREE things you need to revise or practice before your next TV assessment.

CSPs, media theories and more terminology.

8) What final overall grade do you hope to achieve in GCSE Media Studies this time next year?

 Maybe a 8 or 9 since im on a 6 right now.
