Labour, Daily mirror.

4) If someone is right-wing, which political party are they likely to support? Which newspaper would they be likely to read?

Conservative, The times.

5) Why has there been a decline in newspaper sales in the last 20 years?

The media took over because its easier and cheaper.

6) Why is a free press important in a democracy like the UK?

So everyone can have tyheir opinions and it can be a fair democracy.

 1) A preferred reading of a text is the mindset the producers want you to take away from the piece of media that they are showcasing to you. 2) The oppositional reading is the mindset the producers don't want you to take away from the piece of media, basically the opposite of a preferred reading. As a result of the internet I think audiences have a stronger power to some extent than they used to but also the industries have some power due to producing whereas audience really controls the sales and viewing rates of the media product. In my opinion the internet definitely makes the audience way more powerful than 20 years ago.
